Microsoft Outlook: Desktop Client

Overview

The officially supported email client for the University is Outlook Desktop Client for Windows and Mac!

 How can I setup the Outlook Client?

  1. Open Outlook: Launch the Outlook application on your computer.
  2. Add Account:
    • Click on "File" in the top left corner.
    • Select "Add Account".
  3. Enter Email Address: Enter your email address and click "Connect".
  4. Enter Password (if prompted): If prompted, enter your password and click "OK".
  5. Finish: Click "Finish" to complete the setup.
  6. Download Data: Outlook will download your emails, calendar, and contacts. 

Can I install the Outlook Client on my home PC or Mac?

Any Student, Faculty, or Staff member can install Microsoft 365 on up to 5 devices while they are affiliated with the University. This configuration is not supported on Campus workstations, however you can view a tutorial on setting up Microsoft 365 for home use here.

What is the difference between the Outlook Client and Outlook for the Web?
